The Water Clock

A water clock  is any timepiece by which time is measured by the regulated flow of liquid into (inflow type) or out from (outflow type) a vessel, and where the amount is then measured.

If you too are feeling creative, you can make this contraption using a tea cup, two mallets, a croquet hoop, a vine, and a brass disc!  I for one, would love to see that in action!
